README for GMOD Gene Page Working Group

Model organism/genome databases (MODs) produce gene pages of similar
gene data, and may benefit from looking at unifying these to common
structure, labelling, etc.  This folder has GMOD Gene Page working group
documents.

  ugpscraper - test case#1 unified gene page scraper (reads HTML file or URL
    from sample MODs, writes UGP XML)
    -- command line operation; will add CGI version

  Sample DTD, XSL, CSS files for producing common XML, and web pages
  (used by ugpscraper)

lib/GenePageScraper.pm 
  - perl mod with logic for converting MOD gene pages to XML 
   XML/ - some additional perl XML tools (?not all required by above)

  - alternate and preliminary gene xml, and xslt for web page display
