	Dear colleagues,

I have a question. The Icarus files in the distribution of SRS are for
the PIR databank in PIR-VMS format. Has anyone ever written Icarus files
for PIR_CODATA format ?

Sir,
we are developing a bioinformatics facilities including install and
regularly update EMBL and/or GenBank, SWISS-PROT and other important
databases; install GCG, SRS, BLAST, Clustal and other software. These
facilities will serve not only ourself but also several biomedical
institutes in Beijing and near-by cities.

We want to know which computer and workstations (CPU and disk
capacities, etc.)
are good for above databases and software, and their possible price.
Since the
databases grow quickly, I expect this system can hold or easily expand
to hold the databases for the next (at least) 4 years?
