A "Dynamic Signaling Map" is an operational graph, or schematic, of a
signaling pathway or protein network in biologic cells. The DSM web
service (dsm.cocea-consulting.com) allows you to enter data on your
favorite signaling networks, check the consistency of your data, and
generate "on-the-fly" graphic representations that can be saved,
edited, and printed.

Dynamic Signaling Maps beta is up and running. For trial purposes we
provide a number of free one-month accounts. These accounts are
available on a "first-come-first-served" basis. If you are interested
in participating in this trial you can send a request by e-mail to
info@cocea-consulting.com. Please include a valid e-mail address and a
username of your choice.

Two postdoc positions in bioinformatics

The Protein Informatics Group of Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) has two
openings for postdoctoral research associates in bioinformatics. The applicants
should have a Ph.D. degree in biophysics, computational biology, molecular
biology, or computational sciences. Strong ability in computer programming is
essential. Background in protein NMR structure determination or biological
pathways is highly desirable.

The Protein Informatics Group currently consists of eight scientists with highly
diversified background, ranging from biochemistry, computational chemistry,
biophysics, physics to computer science, statistics and mathematics. Our common
interests are in development of computational tools for solving problems from
molecular biology. Our work ranges from construction of mathematical/statistical
models to development of algorithms to code implementation on various platforms
to applications of computational tools to solve various bio-data analysis
problems. For more details about the Group, please visit
http://compbio.ornl.gov/protein_group/.

Applicants are invited to submit their CV to
