The mission of the Placement Service is to promote the occupational opportunities of biophysicists, especially Members of the Society. Important changes that should make it your choice for advertising include: 1. NO CHARGES for using the service if you are either an employer or a member (all costs will be assumed by the Biophysical Society). Nonmember candidates will pay $30 for the Annual Meeting service. 2. Year-round Internet advertising organized by category. 3. Opportunities to meet the candidates or employers at the annual meeting, including automatic preregistration for Internet advertisers and automatic Internet posting of meeting advertisements. 4. Year-round personal assistance as needed. The Biophysical Society has taken complete responsibility for its Placement Service and has redesigned it to promote efficiency and reduce paperwork. This is true for both the Meeting and the Internet operations.
