Minority Students!
Faculty Members with Minority Students!

If you expect to have a POSTER ready for presentation at the New Orleans
meeting, the Minority Affairs Committee (MAC) may be able to help you with
funding to attend the meeting. We are applying for a renewal of the MARC
Travel Grant, which has brought over 20 faculty and 60 students to
Biophysical Society meetings over the past three years.

In New Orleans, the MARC invitee posters will be part of the regular poster
sessions, organized in the abstract categories listed in the Call for
Abstracts (you can request a Call at
http://www.biophysics.org/biophys/society/annmtg/callrequest.htm ). To
accomplish this, travel grant applications will be due at the same time as
the abstracts, on October 3. An application form will be available in the
Call for Abstracts and on the Society's website later in the summer.

We welcome also minority students and faculty from minority schools who do
not wish to present a poster at the meeting. Please apply in either case.

For further information, please contact Muriel Prouty, MAC Grant
Coordinator, at mprouty@udc.edu or at the Society Office, 9650 Rockville
Pike, Bethesda, MD 20814. E-mail: society@biophysics.faseb.org
