The Porphyromonas gingivalis Genome Project (PGGP) home page is now
available. PGGP is a collaboration between Forsyth Dental Center (FDC)
and The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR). The PGGP web page is
created and maintained at FDC. The web address is:
http://www.forsyth.org/pggp. There is also a link from the TIGR
Microbial Genome Database (http://www.tigr.org/tdb/mdb/mdb.html).

A "Questions and Discussion" section is also available at this site
for general discussion on issues and progress regarding the PGGP
project. To register for the discussion forum, click "New user click
here" from the home page and submit required information. Select
"Discussion Forums" from the log-in page (be sure to have the "Save
login information" option checked) and click "Enter now" to go to a
list of discussion topics. Choose "P. gingivalis Discussion Forum"
from there.

TIGR will begin to submit sequences to the National Center for
Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database
(http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) when 3-fold coverage of the W83 genome
is achieved.
