Subject: How long can the coated ELISA plate be kept at 4 degree

Hallo Dear Mr.

I am measuring cytokines with ELISA now. I always coat the plate and
keep it overnight at 4 degree. Sometime after I coated the plate, it
happened that I couldn't block it and add samples on next day or even a
few days. I don't know how long I can keep the coated plates at 4
degree. Would you please tell me about this question.

Thanks in advance.

Yous sincerely

Not a bad idea to do some comparisons, but when I was in the business I
found that 3-4 weeks at 4oC seemed to show no degradation in quality.
But
different antigens/antibodies may behave differently

Try Biogenesis, Chemicon, BD Pharmingen. They all are referenced in
Linscotts's.
In Germany, ask DPC Biermann (+49 5221 349817)

kind regards, RWM

Dear colleagues,
I want to check plasmid inserts in a Southern HYB for clones with
repetitive sequences. So I am planning to hybridyze with maize
genomic DNA to identify these rDNA containing clones. I am not
sure about the amount of labelled probe to use for this HYB. For a
normal Southern with a certain fragment as probe i use 50-100ng
(P32-labelling). But is this enough to cover all species of rDNA
within genomic DNA?
Thanks for your answers in advance,

Marcel
