Some users complained that they could not see any files and could not change directories. The simple reason was that an incorrect Internet address was used. The EMBL anonymous FTP server is located at ftp.embl-heidelberg.de [192.54.41.33], and NOT embl-heidelberg.de. The latter is a completely different machine. Secondly, our Internet connection is not yet optimal despite our attempts to improve the situation. As Jaime Prilusky has pointed out in a previous posting to this newsgroup, the Israeli EMBnet node at sunbcd.weizmann.ac.il mirrors the EMBL archives and might provide better connections for some users.
