Hello,

I work on oyster genetics and I try to extract DNA from lyophilised
tissus (gill or mantle). I used the classical phenol-chloroform procedure
which is ok with DNA extracted from biopsed tissu but failed with DNA
from lyophilised tissu. Is anybody know a good method for DNA extraction
?

Thanks

Could anyone please tell me of any primers they have used to amplify up
variable regions of mitochondrial DNA in oysters (or any other mollusc or
bivalve)? I'm having some difficulty with this in Crassostrea gigas
(Pacific or Japanese oyster).
