[Agroforestry] short term job announcement: Seeking expert in African forestry and carbon projects

Seeking short term consultant with expertise in African forestry and
carbon efforts

 

The Ecosystem Services unit of Winrock International is seeking 4 short
term consultants (one expert for: West Africa, East Africa, Southern
Africa, and Central Africa) with expertise in and knowledge of existing
forestry, reforestation, conservation, agroforestry, and carbon efforts
in the respective region. A candidate with familiarity in the region's
terrestrial carbon projects is especially desired.

 

Consultant must be available now as all work must be finished by mid
January 2008.

 

Main tasks of consultant:

a.	Identify and summarize current forestry efforts in the region
(includes carbon projects, major afforestation/reforestation efforts,
major agroforestry efforts, conservation projects)
b.	Summarize forestry and conservation 'lessons learned' published
material
c.	Investigate role government forestry sector has played in past
in forestry and carbon project development
