[Arabidopsis] selection of Agrobacterium by BASTA resistance?

Hi,
Does anybody know if Agrobacterium or E. coli transformed with a binary vector that confers glufosinate resistance (BASTA) can be selected by resistance to this herbicide? The BASTA gene is drived by Nos promoter and I have read that this promoter can be expressed in E. coli.
