CC Aims and Scope:
CC The concepts of processing of information, transmission ofinformation
CC and automatic control originated within physics, computer science
CC and technology. In the meantime these concepts have also proved
CC powerful in the biological sciences, where analogous processes are
CC encountered. Despite the differences between nonliving and living
CC systems, may of the logical procedures, the experimental and theore-
CC tical approaches and mathematical techniques applicable to the
CC physical sciences also find important applications in the realm of
CC the life sciences. By adopting this approach to sensory and central
CC neurophysiological problems new insight has been gained into the
CC principles by means of which organisms handle and utilize informa-
CC tion. Conversely, physicists, computer scientists and engineers have
CC shown increasing interest in natural mechanisms of computation,
CC communication and control, including genetic communication and
CC control of development.

CC Current Genetics is an international journal devoted to the rapid
CC publication of original articles of immediate importance on genetics
CC of eukaryotes, with emphasis on yeasts, other fungi, protists and
CC cell organelles. Papers on formal genetics will only be accepted if
CC they contribute to the understanding of special genetic systems or
CC give access to molecular approaches.
CC
CC Please refer to a printed copy of the journals for details on the
CC ethical and legal regulations to which authors submitting manuscripts
CC to this journal must adhere.

CC
CC Aims and Scope:
CC The present emphasis is on environmental and work physiology.
CC Environment in this sense not only includes the climatic but
CC conditions to be found in usual and unusual work. Recently there has
CC been an upsurge in the attention paid to exercise as a physiological
CC stimulus for adaptation and the journal has mirrored this by
CC publishing many papers in fields as diverse as muscle biochemistry
CC and dietary-induced thermogenesis or endocrine responses following
CC exercise. Within the chosen field the journal encompasses a broad
CC spectrum not eschewing reports of animal experimentation seen as
CC clearly relevant to the human condition.
CC
CC Please refer to a printed copy of the journals for details on the
CC ethical and legal regulations to which authors submitting manuscripts
CC to this journal must adhere.

CC Subscription information:
CC Volumes 70-71 (6 issues) will appear in 1995.
