CC Managing Editor: Jose Campos-Ortega, Koeln, Germany
CC
CC Aims and Scope:
CC MGG provides publication in all areas of general and molecular gene-
CC tics - developmental genetics, somatic cell genetics, and genetic
CC engineering - irrespective of the organism. Articles on animal or
CC plant breeding or human genetics will be accepted only if the re-
CC sults decribed have significance for fundamental genetics. Reports
CC that are exclusively dealing with nucleic acid sequences are pub-
CC lished only if they are judged to be of wide interest and biological
CC significance. The findings reported should be novel and not under
CC consideration for publication elsewhere. The presentation should be
CC intelligible to as wide an audience as possible.

CC ethical and legal regulations to which authors submitting manuscripts
CC to this journal must adhere.

CC of biological organisation will be considered, as will both
CC experimental and theoretical studies. The criteria for acceptance are
CC scientific content, originality and relevance to biological systems
CC of current interest and importance. Principal areas of interest
CC include:
CC - Macromolecular structure

CC
CC Aims and Scope:
CC The journal provides an interdisciplinary medium for the
CC experimental, theoretical and application-oriented aspects of
CC information processing in organisms, including sensory, motor,
CC cognitive, and ecological phenomena.
CC Topics are:
CC - experimental studies of biological systems including quantitative
CC modelling
CC - computational, technical, or theoretical studies with relevance
CC for understanding biological information processing
CC - artificial implementation of biological information processing
CC and self-organizing principles.
CC Under the main aspects of performance and function of systems,
CC emphasis is laid on communication between life sciences and
CC technical/theoretical disciplines. Purely theoretical concepts and
CC data analysis without reference to information processing in
CC organisms are outside the aims and scope of Biological Cybernetics.
CC Largely speculative contribution as well as presentations of
CC preliminary and inconclusive results are also discouraged.

CC Aims and Scope:
CC Keeping readers informed of the latest research results in the fields
CC of oncology and immunology has always been one of the main services
CC provided by Cancer Immunology, Immunotherapy. To make this service
CC even more comprehensive, the scope of the journal was expanded some
CC years ago to include more of the progress being made in the various
CC fields of biology concerned with biological response modifiers, thus
CC enabling readers to keep up to date on the latest advances in our
CC understanding of tumor-host interactions.
CC Tumor immunologists, clinical oncologists, virologists, and medical
CC microbiologists involved in the development of methods of treatment
CC and therapies for cancer patients will have access to the information
CC contained in this journal. The journal publishes short editorials
CC (including "position papers"), general reviews, original articles,
CC and short communications, providing a forum for the most recent
CC experimental and clinical advances in tumor immunology.
CC
CC Please refer to a printed copy of the journals for details on the
CC ethical and legal regulations to which authors submitting manuscripts
CC to this journal must adhere.

CC The present emphasis is on environmental and work physiology.
CC Environment in this sense not only includes the climatic but condi-
CC tions to be found in usual and unusual work. Recently there has
CC been an upsurge in the attention paid to exercise as a physiological
CC stimulus for adaptation and the journal has mirrored this by pub-
CC lishing many papers in fields as diverse as muscle biochemistry
CC and dietary-induced thermogenesis or endocrine responses following
CC exercise. Within the chosen field the journal encompasses a broad
CC spectrum not eschewing reports of animal experimentation seen as
CC clearly relevant to the human condition.

CC ethical and legal regulations to which authors submitting manuscripts

CC Aims and Scope:
CC Human Genetics is a leading international journal. It appears monthly
CC and publishes papers on all aspects of human and medical genetics.
CC In particular, papers on gene cloning, linkage; complex diseases and
CC mutagenesis are welcome, as are articles developmental and evolu-
CC tionary genetics, genetic aspects of tumorigenesis, gene therapy
CC and human behavioural genetics. We encourage articles on modifier
CC genes and other genes affecting genotype/phenotype relationships.
CC Human Genetics accepts articles on animal models whenever relevant
CC to human biology or disease.
CC Clinical case reports, cytogenetic case reports, papers on descrip-
CC tive population genetics, reports on new DNA variants, articles
CC dealing with the frequency of genetic polymorphisms and articles
CC reporting additional mutations of well-defined genes will normally
CC not to be accepted unless they report entirely novel and unusual
CC aspects of a topic.
CC Papers can be considered for publication in the following sections:
CC 1. Review articles. Submission of reviews and mini-reviews is
CC particularly encourages. It is advisable to consult the editors
CC before submitting a review article.
CC 2. Original investigations
CC 3. Rapid communications. Significant new and original findings can
CC be published in this section within 3 months. Please consult the
CC instructions for authors for detailed information.
CC The editors reserve the right to determine in which section an
CC article will appear.
CC
CC Please refer to a printed copy of the journals for details on the
CC ethical and legal regulations to which authors submitting manuscripts
CC to this journal must adhere.
CC
CC Subscription information:
CC Volumes 99-100 (6 issues each) will appear in 1997.
