After you have read the data into your database, you must "recalculate"
the genetic map. The map you see is a cached version that is derived from
the data in the databases, such as in the Locus objects. There are two
ways to recalculate. Either when displaying Map XIII use the menu option
"Recalculate", or use the "Align maps" option in the main menu and select
"Map gMaps" in the resulting window, which will rebuild all maps. In either
case, for the changes to carry over to future times you access the database,
you must have write access, and must save the database from the main window
or when exiting the program.
