Definition of agroforestry

This newsgroup has been vacant too long.  It's about time we started some
discussion.  Here's a possible starter:

In New Zealand, we have tended to define "agroforestry" rather narrowly as
a combination of wide-spaced trees and pastoral agriculture.  Does this
agree with your definition?  I'd rather see a more all-encompassing definition
adopted, covering most uses of trees on farms.  What are your thoughts on the 
matter?
