A good friend of mine, who is an author, is writing a small a section that
involves a "Joshua Tree" and she wants to make sure that the facts about the
tree are correct. I hope someone here may be able to help.

She knows now it's scientific name is Yucca Brevifolia and is described as a
"tall branched aborescent southwestern USA tree". Where does this tree
grow? Only in deserts? What kind of climate does it need to grow?

Any info at all would be greatly appreciated.

Followup to poster please. Thank you for your help.
