New Course - MSc Plant Genetic Manipulation

This new taught modular course of twelve months duration,
commencing October 1994, is designed to provide students with
specialist knowledge of the theory and practical skills of plant
genetic manipulation relevant to plant biotechnology.  

The course will consist of compulsory modules (lectures,
practical assignments, seminars and dissertations on plant tissue
culture, gene transfer, cytology, cell physiology and
biochemistry, together with associated molecular techniques).

Entry requirements:  Candidates should have a Biological Sciences
Honours degree of the required standard.

Current tuition fees:  British/EEC students - 2260 pounds sterling 
per annum; students from overseas - 7,360 pounds per annum.  
(Successful candidates will also require approximately 6,000 pounds
to cover living costs for the duration of the course). 

Regrettably, scholarships are not available for overseas
