The isolation of DNA from leaves is a simple procedure and can provide a
source of genes which can be studied for many years.
I propose that academic institutions, governments, and companies invest in
the establishment of collections of plant DNA.
I want to be a focal point, to serve as a catalyst, and begin a collection
of plant DNA and to get others to do the same.
Sincerely,
Richard Dana
