germinating of Brazil nuts

Hi folks,

does anyone out there know how to make Brazil nuts germinate faster? My
information is that they can be treated with alkaline (NaOH) or sulfuric
acid. My questions are:
1. Is there any improved treatment?
2. For using alkaline or acid: which concentration has to be used and how
long has the solution to be applied for? 
3. Are the nuts  treated for export?

Any comments and suggestions appreciated
