jmh2001 has some pretty good advice.  By the way, I am a professional
forester.  The one comment that I would make regards tree farms.  It is a
misconception that you have to have rows of a monoculture to have a tree
farm.  Tree farm merely means that you are trying to increase the long
term productivity of your land.  Here in Pennsylvania, most of our woods
that qualify for the American Forest Foundation Tree Farm program are
quite diverse.  Good luck!
