First is to get the new trees started and put them maybe twenty feet
apart and then the fire could not spread for many years.
Select areas that are far from other trees and pick several different
"islands" like this.
this will help the trees survive for probably 10-15 years while you
work on other plantings that are fire resistant and don't dry up to
easily.
