Forestry computer programs

Hi everybody
Hope I'm posting to the right group.
I'm writing on behalf of a colleague in the forestry department of our
small college.

Basically he's looking for a computer program that can deal with
forestry records, compartment records, standard volume estimation,
yield forecasting and yield class.  I don't know what he's talking
about but any information about software available would be very
gratefully received.
