A National Conference organized
by the Canadian Council on Ecological Areas

November 7-8, 1995

Conference mission:  To create a forum to share information
and expertise, construct solutions and celebrate recent successes.

Conference Objectives:  To bring together members from the science,
government, business and environmental groups to

1.  Clarify the essential role of protected areas in resource based
economies and in biodiversity strategies.
2.  Explore the challenges associated with maintaining
biological diversity and ecological integrity.
3.  Review progress and highlight future initiatives.
