When incorporated with a photosynthesis-irradiance
function, the model CANLIP calculates photosynthesis rate at any 
given location in the canopy, and gives a space integral over the whole canopy
volume. We can also use different photosynthesis-irradiance response 
functions for different parts of the canopy.
