I was thinking much less specifically than a comparison 
between a species vs. hybrid clone with regard to how a 4% gain in light 
absorption translates into a doubling of productivity).  I was thinking 
from a very simple green slime idea realizing that one cannot separate 
changes in slime function or capacity from just pure light absorption.  
But again this gets back to the inadequacies of IPAR or APAR. Tom
