One possibility is to plant the trees and then harvest what grows
naturally on the forest floor - mushrooms, wreathe making materials, and
so on. You first need to decide what trees you wish to plant and how big
you want them before harvesting. You, for instance, do not want to raise
sheep with pine trees - they eat pine boughs among other things. You do
not want to raise cattle with apple trees - they get so drunk they can not
walk and sometimes die. and so on.
