Growth rates vs temperatures

I am likely to plant Paulownia here in Southern Mississippi, if 
everything checks out all right with water table and soil.  I have
an interest in meteorology and like to keep records on such things.
Would it be of value to have data on growth rates of a sample
of trees at this location along with accurate rainfall and 
temperature recordings?  I would like to share that data.  Maybe
others in this conference would be interested in doing so too.
