canadian forestry policies???

hello there,
i'm doing a report/presentation on the topic of ...WEAK CANADIAN POLICIES 
IS THREATENING OUR FORESTS....does anyone know where i can get a copy of 
the present laws/policies regarding forestry in canada (or related 
topics)??????
also, does anyone have an opinion on this topic in question?????  
particularly those in canada and us.  negative/positive...any. thanks
