Term position ( 6 months) with the Department of Natural Resources,
The Canadian Forest Service in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

 SALARY:
$ 38,224 to $ 50,906 per annum

EDUCATION:
A degree from a recognized university in forestry; or,

a degree in a related science combined with acceptable experience with
specialization relating to silviculture or forecasting stand structure
and growth;


KNOWLEDGE OF:
-and understanding of the theories and practices of silvicultural
systems and forest harvesting methods currently and potentially
applicable to black spruce in the Boreal Forest Region of Ontario;

-boreal forest stand structure, development and growth; as well as,

-statistical analysis and methods for forecasting stand development
are essential for this position.



Proficiency in English is essential.

ETUDES:

Un diplome en foresterie d'une universite reconnue; ou,
un diplome dans une discipline scientifique connexe assorti d'une
experience acceptable avec specialisation en sylviculture ou en
prevision de la structure et de la croissance des peuplements.

CONNAISSANCES:
Il est essentiel de connaitre et de comprendre les theories et les
pratiques des systemes sylvicoles et des methodes d'exploitation
forestiere actuellement appliquees, ou potentiellement applicables, a
l'epinette noire dans la foret boreale de l'Ontario.

Il est egalement essentiel de connaitre et de comprendre les theories
et les pratiques liees a la structure, au developpement et a la
croissance des peuplements forestiers;

de meme que les analyses et les methodes liees a la prevision du
developpement des peuplements.



Ce poste exige une bonne connaissance de l'anglais.
