A number of areas of young wild cherry woodland (ususally planted in
mixture) I look after are exhibiting major problems this summer. There has
been serious thinning of crowns and leaf drop and some deaths in trees from
4 to 30 years old. The problem appears to be cherry canker.
Has anyone else got similar problems? Any ideas on remedial action other
than plant less cherry?
