Jim, a cord of wood contains about 1,000 board feet. If you are looking
for mass, it is approximately the amount found in a single 8 foot-long,
4-foot diameter log. Oddly, unless the stack is extremely well-stacked,
and the wood very straight, these remains a considerable amount of air
space in the typical cord.
