I had alot of trouble planting cottonwood cuttings last year . Only 20% made it. They were planted in very wet conditions and the soil temp was low until late in the spring but I was told they could handle it. Sycamores are available here in Kentucky thru the State Forestry. You mightneed a more cold hardy version for your area. J Goody BG Kentucky
