Ive managed to sell some heather(calluna vulgaris) seed. It was
"hoovered" off the parents at the end of the year. The sites were
restock sites planted with Spruce and the heather was growing in
between. It wasnt staggeringly profitable but interesting. The heather
was sown and grown in a local nursery and is now on a reclamation site
in west cumbria. The clients wanted seed as local as possible as this
had been specified by English Nature and had a contractor with
experience and success. Im told the site is doing very well and they may
return at some date for more.
