CO2 sequestration and Trees

Larry,
My posting was a response to a query about planting fast growing trees 
as a means to reducing the CO2 being pumped into the atmosphere.  I of 
course agree with you there are many good reasons for planting trees but 
this is not one of them.  Even the carbon in the wood used in home 
construction eventually makes it back into the atmosphere as CO2, CO, or 
CH4 (all greenhouse gases) either thru decomposition, fire or termite 
gas!
