West Coast Helicpoter does logging in British Columbia. There home page is
http:/north.island.net/~blackdog. It would be a starting point.

Also, Freeman Press in San Francisco used to publish FOREST INDUSTRIES.
They would be well informed of helicopter logging on the West Coast. They
may also be a source of contacts. I know they have a home page, but I
don't know the address.

I have worked in Oregon back in the late 60s & early 70s. There was very
little logging done with helicopters due to the expense. Usually,
helicopters are used on very steep terrain, where conventional logging
equipment cannot be used. Dirt and debris are a drawback for the
helicopters.
