	Why, the same reason you see log trucks passing each other going
opposite directions on the highway. Somebody got a better deal, works
cheaper, risks more, etc, than the other guy.  There is no guideline
like the bottom line for our northwest coast timber industry.
	Is it coincidental that the vast majority of remaining loggable stands
are less than 40 years of age?
