Actually, some American forestry schools are somewhat ahead of the
curve, here. Much of the information on the negative impacts of
cyclical clearcut/replant forestry in PNW forests has come from
researchers like Chris Maser and Jerry Franklin, of the University
of Washington School of Forestry. The industry hates them.
