So far there's only one question about alt.forestry:

Q. Why can't I get alt.forestry on my newsreader?

A. alt.forestry was newgrouped at the end of September, 1997. It is
a brand new alt.group, competing with the lunatic fringe of usenet.
It is also the only forestry forum available on usenet.

Many Internet Service Providers (ISP) will not automatically add
new alt groups to your news feed. You have to actively request
    it.

Send email to your ISP's support address, or phone them. Once they
add the feed, you can set up the newsgroup in your newsreader just
    like any other newsgroup.

In the meantime, you can read alt.forestry through Deja News
(http://www.dejanews.com). However, bug your ISP to get a
    local feed set up.

Once you get a local feed set up, you may have to post a seed message
to induce other nodes on usenet to propagate alt.forestry. If you
still don't see any traffic within a week after posting a seed message,
    contact your ISP and complain.
