Good one karl, This is why I throw in factors such as hydrologic roughness, flood protection, forestalling ESA habitat 'takings', agroforestry, cultural heritage, recreation and privacy buffers when talking willing woods owners out of clearcutting. The $$ aren't persuasive by themselves. Mike H.
