Look at "Seeds of Woody Plants in North America" by Young and Young
(Timber Press, 1992) and "The Reference Manual of Woody Plant
Propagation" by Dirr and Heuser (Varsity Press, 1987). All of the
references I could give you will be covered by the bibliographies in
these two books.
