shortcomings of recycling

Wow.  On one hand I'm impressed by the effort that went into that
article. And on the other I'm reassured that the second law of
thermodynamics still holds. With the exception of living organisms, at
each transformation some energy (insert quality) is lost.  

There's a mill in town (Daishowa America) that recycles waste high
quality paper into telephone book stock, a fair example of increasing
entropy.
