central region silviculture

I am looking for contacts for a research project concerning how silviculture
is being conducted in the central United States.  Are there any foresters or
university faculty who might be willing to answer a few questions on what
silvicultural methods are presently being used in this area?  I also need
input on how ecosystem management is affecting silvicultural choices.
