Wild animals never cease to amaze me. To think deer would come within 75
feet of a person thinning walnuts, with a chainsaw. It's almost like, as
long as they know your busy. your not a threat. Turkeys have reacted the
same way. To think that one can take old compacted clay cattle pasture,
plant 8 different varieties of trees, and increase the variety of
wildlife. Where one used to find only Killdeer now one finds hawks and
owls. Time will tell whether tree farms are better for the environment
than 5 acre house lots.
