Which species of walnut?  Black?  Persian/English?  Other?  Where are you
located?  (Does `es` mean Spain?)

You might try emailing Dr Gene Garrett from the Northern Nut Growers
Association website `experts` page.  Go first to http://www.icserv.com/nnga. 
He knows a lot about black walnut.  Others on that page know a lot about
Persian walnut.
