That would make sense.  From all I read on Randal O'Toole's website at
http://www.ti.org, it seems that the USFS is mainly about corporate welfare and
bureaucratic workfare.

I believe it's the page on the 1999 USFS budget that says their costs are over
$120 per Mbf including roads and reforestation.  So if this is the case on this
sale, and that hemlock is worth, what, about $30 per Mbf, then they're
subsidizing indos and burros to the tune of $90 per Mbf?  Or is hemlock worth
more than $30 in Oregon?
