I happen to live in Ron Wyden's home state, and attended town hall
meetings where the local citizens gave him an ear full. The Healthy
Forests Initiative has been in the works for a long time. Wyden had a
coalition and an agreement between parties, but didn't have the votes
until the voters in California suddenly realized the national forests
were their forests too.

You need to quit demonizing the wood products industry and start
listening to what the people who know the land are saying.
