Dear Friend,

I graduated in Agroforestry in 1998 after completing an honours course,
which included a dissertation on edible mushrooms. Although my research
was published in a joint paper, unfortunately I could not proceed any
further for postgraduate studies.
My proposal was to identify a protocol to ensure edible mycorrhizal
fungi could be cultivated in a woodland or forest environment.
There are studies in a similar vein in the USA, but as yet none has yet
to discover the protocol.
The reason little funding is available for this kind of research is due
to global politics and corruption in the various forestry authorities.

If you consider it carefully then a protocol as suggested would
immediately stop all clear felling, prevent derelict woodland from
being grubbed out and many other poor forestry practices!

Therefore I conclude that Agroforestry is not only good, it is so
marvellous as to cause a real threat to those who wish to exploit
destroy the planet!

regeards,

Martin
