Ageing & future shock

Thu Apr 23 10:18:00 EST 1992

As the debate has touched on philosophy, has anyone considered the following
(ethical ?) question:

If a method for retarding ageing only benefitted persons under a certain age,
or benefitted younger groups significantly more than older groups:

How do you feel about being part of the last generation of "die youngs"?

Does the answer explain some of the reticence in this area?

(The only fictional speculation I know on this matter are:
"Trouble with Lichen" by John Wyndham and "To Live Forever" by Jack Vance)
