What is the reference please? If in far fewer cells, it may not be
important for aging.

By the way, why did Dolle et al, PNAS 97 (2000)  not try to extend their
experiment to mtDNA? It would actually be much more convincing in mtDNA,
where the issue of location of reporter gene within chromosome would not
come up.
