Dear colleagues,

The Joint Nature Conservation Committee recently advertised a vacancy
for a Benthic Marine Ecologist - (text from recent New Scientist advert is
included below). The post will focus specifically on the development of the
sediment biotope classification by analysis of the JNCC's substantial data
holdings. It should be a very rewarding task leading to an important
publication.

Closing date for applications is 24 December (although JNCC is closed
after this until 5 January, when applications will be reviewed). Application
forms are available on our web site, should candidates not get a form by 24
December.

I would be grateful if you could let interested colleagues know about the
post , either through your e-mail systems, by word of mouth or on
appropriate notice boards.

Many thanks.

Jon
